Relentlessly studying antique limestone floors in Portugal. I actually prefer their patina in comparison to the French Stones. Both have their place, certainly! I have a super network of antique dealers with very special one-off floors. We buy them, cut them down to 3-4cm and prepare them for their new life.

Just out of the KILN! I would only ever trust a tile restoration specialist to create our historic tile collections. This technique, a “splattered speckled” design with painterly quality is rarely achieved these days. Inspired by the tiles found in historic Spanish architecture, such as at the Casa de Pilatos in Seville or in Moorish-inspired designs. These tiles are fired at high-temperatures to create unique, blended color surfaces. 12x12cm. Get your orders in!

Good relationships = better materials!Earlier this week I went to visit my good friend Felix who has a nose for finding antique reclaimed flagstones. We carefully checked a relatively large order for 100sqm of antique threshing stones for an interior hallway and lounge (UK client). These are usually 100-150 years old. Once cleaned up they look like the last image… they are super lovely and not as bumpy as some of the French antique reclaimed stones that can sometimes have excessive texture.
