🎬 Calling Camden filmmakers! 🎥

The Camden Culture Team is looking for a filmmaker with links to the London Borough of Camden to work collaboratively with Kilburn Older Voices Exchange (KOVE) and a group of young people on an exciting new film project.

📍 Webheath & Kingsgate, Kilburn

The project will bring older and younger generations together to create a film celebrating the lived experiences, stories and memories of people living in the Webheath and Kingsgate neighbourhoods. We are working with South Hampstead and Kilburn Community Partnership (SHAK) to deliver the film making project.

This is an opportunity to:

🎥 Collaborate with local older residents and young people
🗣️ Explore and share personal stories and experiences
🏘️ Celebrate the history, identity and character of the neighbourhoods
🤝 Create a film that reflects the voices and experiences of the local community

We're looking for a filmmaker who is passionate about community storytelling, collaboration and creating meaningful work with local people.

If you're a Camden-based filmmaker, or have strong links to the borough, we'd love to hear from you!

🎶 A free lunchtime concert to lift your spirits

Take a break this Tuesday and head to Lauderdale House for a lunchtime recital with classical soprano Talia Nabarro.

🎵 From opera and art song to traditional music and musical theatre, Progressions of Love: A Recital in Four Movements explores the different stages of love - from first love and connection to heartbreak, self-acceptance and finding fulfilment in yourself.

Talia will be accompanied by Lauderdale House’s resident pianist Stephen Hose. This is her first solo recital in London, and a special return to the area where her musical training began.

🪩 What a vibe! Last Saturday the Inverness Street Bloc Party 2026 returned and our Camden community did not disappoint❤️

The rain came down, the music turned up and Inverness Street was filled with dancing, smiling faces and that unmistakable Camden spirit. ☔️🕺

HUGE LOVE to our incredible line-up who brought the energy and the tunes that kept our audience dancing through the rain: .vee and our host

And it felt especially fitting to celebrate on the eve of the 60th anniversary of Notting Hill Carnival, a celebration rooted in Caribbean culture, creativity, music and community. ❤️💛💚

Camden has its own important connection to that story. Claudia Jones, journalist, activist and community leader, organised London’s first indoor Caribbean Carnival in 1959 in Camden Town Hall, helping lay the foundations for the Carnival we know today.

Thank you to everyone who came down and supported this event. And thank you to for capturing the energy so brilliantly. 📸
