I wonder what these gemstones meant to the Victorian who commissioned this piece. Each mount has been hand made to fit the unique shape of each stone, reflecting hours of work. There are no sapphires, rubies, or diamonds here but instead beautiful agates and crystals. Maybe they were found as souvenirs on holidays or perhaps tokens of affection from a loved one.
