All good things come to an end even Smiths of Loughton.
After 42 years selling our kitchenware and gifts to the good people of Loughton and beyond Smiths of Loughton are hanging up our tea towels for the very last time and calling it a day. It’s been our absolute pleasure to fill your cupboards, dress your table and occasionally provide last minute gifts that looked like you remembered all along. So, thank you to our loyal customers, our neighbours and everyone who has kept us going for four decades - and a special thanks to whoever bought that ship in the bottle in 1987. We still think about you. We’ll miss the chats the laughs, and the sound of someone dropping a bone china mug and then pretending it wasn’t them. But our biggest thanks go to our parents who started the business in 1968 by selling their home and car to start it all up in Bishop Stortford without them none of this would of happened. We will be trading a little long but only at the store not online.
We came, we sold, we gift wrapped. Thanks for 42 wonderful years
