James update 🤍

Quick little update because so many of you have been asking about James.

After what feels like a lifetime in A&E, he has finally got a bed 🙏🏼. He’s had some tests and we’ve had some answers… although, if I’m honest, some of those answers have left us even more confused 🤦🏼‍♀️😂.

So, the journey continues. One day at a time. 🎢

In the back of our minds, though, we’re also starting to think about backup plans. We’re absolutely not at the point where we need to do this, and we’re praying we never are, but so much is unknown at the moment that we want to be as prepared as we possibly can be.

So, very tentatively… if you are blood group O and you would potentially be willing to be considered as a living liver donor for James if we ever reached that point, please message me with your name and phone number.

This is just a way for us to keep details safely for the future if we ever need to explore that option. Any potential donor would, of course, have to go through extensive medical testing and assessment by the transplant team to see whether donation was actually possible and safe. Blood group is only one part of donor compatibility.

Hopefully this is a list we never need. 🙏🏼
But if we do… we want to know that we have options.

The rollercoaster continues 🎢🤍

Another update on James… and honestly, the transplant journey is still very much an emotional rollercoaster.

He’s still looking about nine months pregnant, and we just cannot seem to get to the bottom of why his tummy is so swollen. 😔

He’s meant to be admitted, but we’ve now been waiting collectively over 30 hours in A&E for a bed… and there simply isn’t one.

So for now, we wait. Again.

There are good days, bad days, hope, frustration, tears and everything in between. This journey has been anything but straightforward, but we keep going. 🤍

Please keep James in your thoughts while we wait for answers and, hopefully, the next step in this long transplant journey.

One day at a time. 🙏🏼🤍
