Hey!!! How is everyone?
I’m not even sure where to start with this post but I will start by saying sorry for the radio silence!
This year hasn’t been the easiest for us. Our world was turned upside down exactly four weeks ago by the passing of this absolute legend of a woman! Some of you know her, others may not. For those of you that don’t, this is Eileen pictured with my son Archie and my daughter Lola.
Eileen was Archie’s respite carer, but that aside, she was the world to me. She was much, much more than my employee. She was my friend, my crafting buddy, my partner in crime, a mother figure in my life.
Eileen was the most caring, generous person ever. She really was a true diamond. Always there when needed, and always put others before herself.
Her passing has devastated so many people. Life without her isn’t the same. Tuesdays and Thursday’s were her days to be here and on these days I still have to remind myself that she’s not coming 💔
The reason for me posting this is that I’ve found it really hard to craft without her around. I would always send her pictures of my makes for her approval or criticism. So everything just seemed so meaningless to make without her advice.
I’ve slowly returned to doing little bits and after making a few things dedicated to her memory, It feels right to explain my silence but to say that im back.
I know deep down she would never forgive me for stopping what I ultimately enjoy doing so much.
So here I am, back up and running and I guess I just wanted you all to know how incredible this woman was!
I’ll still be just easing myself back in for a while as her funeral is next week and we’re also having a bit of a rocky time with Archie recently, so please bare with me. Times are still tough 💜💜
Sorry for the long post and If you’ve read this far, then thank you xx
