Meet our Artist in Residence — .

Kathryn's work is instantly recognisable: densely layered, richly textured, and packed with repetitive mark-making that gives every element — whether a tree, a figure or a building — its own depth and urgency. She moves between painting and collage, drawing from real life and her own imagination in equal measure, and the results are vivid, immediate and completely absorbing.

For the Summer Festival, Kathryn is working live at 62 South Audley Street — building a single evolving piece in response to Mount Street Gardens, painting, cutting and assembling as the two weeks unfold. Come in any day, and the work will look different from the last. Visit her and see how she's progressing (and take a look at some of her other works while you're there)

A very warm welcome to the newest arrival on Mount Street.

— the Sydney-born aesthetician behind some of the world's most sought-after facials — has opened her London studio right here in the neighbourhood.

With studios in Sydney, Melbourne, LA and New York, Grant has spent over two decades as a go-to for luminous, healthy skin — counting Victoria Beckham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley among her loyal clients. Her new Mount Street space, designed by , has just two treatment rooms and a lounge with its original marble fireplace. Intimate by design and very much a destination.

"You can have lunch at Mount Street Restaurant or The Connaught, do some shopping and then come to me." We couldn't agree more.

The first weekend on Mount Street Neighbourhood Summer Festival opened with a handful of art-inspired workshops for artists of all ages.

Saturday kicked off with author Joséphine Seblon leading a room full of budding artists through the making of their very own flipbook — each leaving with a copy of ’s Mini Artists and, we suspect, a new favourite hobby.

Inspired by Mount Street Gardens, our resident artist took a group through an afternoon of watercolour sketching — fast-paced, instinctive, and inspiring.

Over in the book shop, brought the ancient craft of foil blocking to life, pressing Thames & Hudson’s vintage logo onto bookmarks one satisfying stamp at a time.

There’s much more to come this week — full programme at the link in bio.

We celebrated the start of the Mount Street Neighbourhood Summer Festival with a day of events at the new pop-up book store at 62 South Audley Street.

The day started with a discussion of the publisher’s latest edition: The Art of the Book. Lucas Dietrich, Adélia Sabatini, Andrew Sanigar and Elain McAlpine spoke about the publishing house’s distinguished history and its celebrated list — and shared how Thames & Hudson has changed the way we think about culture.

In the evening we toasted to new space with an intimate cocktail event, which allowed guests to browse the edit of titles for themselves.

The pop-up is open at 62 South Audley Street until June 20th as part of Mount Street Neighbourhood Summer Festival.
