I know I keep saying this a lot, but getting dressed up, isn’t about vanity. For me, it’s strategy!

A big one for me, my hair is thinning, and my face, gravity’s doing its thing. That’s what happens when you come off HRT and oestrogen drops through the floor!

But you adapt. You get on with it.

It’s not about pretending everything is fine. It’s about finding ways to feel more like myself, and have some sense of control.

It might look superficial from the outside, but I think of ‘confidence’ as something practical.

And not something I’m going to site around waiting to feel. That’s why my motto (yes, adapted from my dear friend ) Wake up, Dress up, Show up!

And thank f*ck for makeup, a bit of red lippy and and .fiber for the hair rescue. Oh and of course, sunglasses!
