On the 6th day of Christmas, gngr bees gave to me: a chance to say thank you to our beloved NHS nurses and doctors 🤍

With this new wave of COVID and all the uncertainty it brings, we are reminded once again of the importance of our NHS workers. Their love and devotion to the profession and to the people they care about, which has meant many of us are now here healthy and safe. 🥰

And so, to say thank them, we are gifting 3 Christmas bundles away to 3 caring NHS workers.

🌿 .co - Navygrey produce simple and timeless jumpers, in understated colours. Each raw fibre lot can be traced back to the farm that produced it.

We are proud to announce our manufacturers have just received the ISO 9001 certification 🌿🥳

But that’s not all! As a small business that works with a small manufacturer, we have spoken about developing a plan together where they could get the correct certifications to ensure the highest standard of production, quality, management and ethics (with their employees and the planet 🌎) and whilst the journey is long (and expensive!) they have been committed to improving and doing their best to abide by their values and beliefs!

Since we started working together, our manufacturers received:

ISO9001: ensures the right management throughout the company including focusing on the satisfaction of customers AND employees

BSCI: Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is an industry-driven movement that aims to monitor and assess workplace standards across the global supply chain (this including ethical labour too!)

And work with textiles that are certified by:

OEKO-TEX 100: STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety (a must for our textiles given they are recycled from bottles and fishing nets!)

GOTS: ensures organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing

GRS: The global recycling standard is intended to meet the needs of companies looking to verify the recycled content of their products (both finished and intermediate) and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production

And we started:

THE HIVE: a profit sharing initiative where we give the artisans that created our clothes 5% of our profits per piece sold (you can meet them all on our website!).

This is a huge step for the both of us and we are so proud to be able to share it with you, our wonderful and supportive community!
