Every opening is carved individually using a high speed rotary tool, where a single mistake can end months of work.

She begins as an egg. She ends as a room.

Every cut is made by hand. No machine. No shortcut. Just a drill and a burr, the width of a pin, and years of knowing exactly where light wants to live.

These are ostrich eggshell lanterns, carved from a single shell, lit from within. Each one takes weeks. Each one is one of a kind.

The star lattice. The mosque archway. The glow that spills across marble at midnight.

This is what it looks like before it is finished.

A peacock. An arch. The Taj Mahal inspired skyline. And light finding its way through every cut my hands have made.

This is not the final piece. It’s a work in progress.
