Soon we will be TEN.
Will we be TWENTY , FIFTEEN or even ELEVEN. Who knows but this week has seen us giving advice to customers about what they need and we gave that advice honestly. The spoke that broke the camel's backwheel was someone who came in as their shifting was erratic on their Ultegra groupset, they needed pulley wheels and we discussed that and then we measured the chain and the Park Tool gauge told us it was well beyond .75 worn and that they needed a chain and cassette too and potentially a big chainring. They asked for just a chain and we said there was no point unless they changed at least the cassette and pulley wheels. The person said they would get those online. It was the third time that happened today. We know times are hard for all of us but no retailer in a bricks and mortar establishment contributing to the employment of local people, paying into the local economy wants to hear the words "I will get it online."
