Mediterranean Mood
Letting the faux olive tree convince me that our damp Somerset cottage is actually a rustic Majorcan villa.
I know our ceilings are a bit too low for a big tree but I kind of love how the tree feels so dominant.
I really believe in using real plants and foliage where you can, but the hot weather does make maintenance much harder. If you need some very real fakie advice, get in touch.

Summer lately…
As the school holidays loom, I’m enjoying the last few days in the studio without restless kids in tow. Bracing myself for clambering hands, a messy house and the never ending “can you watch me mummy” soundtrack from the trampoline. Oh and working at the same time 🤯 somehow.
I’ve been working on some BIG faux trees for an interiors project but also trialing new ideas for the tiny online store which I’ve neglected for too long. More on that soon. Maybe.
Good luck to all of you doing the summer holiday work juggle jiggle jiggle 💃🕺

Faux trees help bring a dull room to life and they don’t need watering or any care at all. Of course, real trees are always best but can be so hard to look after - they need the perfect amount of light, water and to be in the right size pot. It’s tricky and can be expensive to get wrong. We have lots of really great faux alternatives.

Who can spot my brilliant carpet fitting skills?! 🥴

I think I’m a little bit in love with this new fakey. A delicate multi-stemmed bucida bringing a cheerful pop of lime green to the room. Almost small enough for our impossibly low ceilings. Available in various sizes and shapes. Let me know what you think.

I just love how bit of greenery instantly lifts a room. A real plant or fresh foliage will always be a winner, but good faux leaves can be really rather good too. Less faff and love to be neglected. I’m so happy with this wallop of green sitting on the coffee table.

Who needs to see the TV anyway?
A much too big arrangement in our tiny cottage using faux oversized grasses, Angelica, and maple leaves in my favourite vase.

Catkins have brought me so much joy this winter. Little wriggly caterpillars of green signaling the worst of winter is over. I carry snips on every walk so I can hack down a haul and plonk it all over the house. I’ve added in some faux oat grass here too to green up this corner.

This room in our little cottage has flooded for the last four years. But now, after months (and months) of mucky, miserable and muddy work by and lots of moaning by moi, we now have a cosy and DRY room! I know this endless rain is utterly miserable but I can’t tell you how happy I am that our rugs are dry and our sofa is not propped up on bricks.
I made this faux Pelargonium plant because I’m deeply unrelaxed about a vase of flowers spilling on our new sisal carpet. I’m very fun to live with.
