Each item is hand made and, often, to order. I love material and pretty things, and I hope you like my stuff too. Please have a look at the photos and if there is something you like, let me know. The same fabric may not be available but I am happy to discuss fabrics and colours. Payment can be made via paypal, internet banking or cheque. Full payment is required prior to the item being dispatched. Post and package
All post and packages is on an itemised basis, unless otherwise stated. Returns
You have the right to return an item within 14 days of receipt and receive a refund. However, if the item was made to order or personalised, returns cannot be accepted, unless the item is faulty. If an item arrives, damaged, please let me know as soon as possible. If an item become damaged/ or comes undone, I am happy to discuss replacing it, and the cost will be dependent on how it became damaged.

Sorry for the terrible photos, but I know I’m not going to get around to taking good photos of these prints for a while and wanted to get them up after my previous post saying I’d post pictures!
Each birth month flower picture is in a white, glass frame and measure 28cm x32. You don’t have to buy it because it’s a birth month flower but because you like the plant! Every image starts as real plants before being digitised and complemented by silhouette and line drawings.
£30 each plus p&p.

Over half way through August so about time to introduce this month’s birth flower - the poppy! While the gladiolus is also the August birth flower, the poppy is also one. Poppies are associated with remembrance and memorial but in some cultures they symbolise hope, rebirth, sleep and peace.

My poppy images are from poppies I have grown but I would love to grow the oriental poppy, which I have tried to grow and have failed!

Making magic with the sun! Cyanotype treated fabric with fresh plants (although I sometimes use dried), then left in the sun for about 10 minutes, washed out and hung up to dry. You never quite know what you’ll get but it’s fun having a go! These pieces of fabric will be made into lampshades. Follow along if you want to see the final product.

Using my garden to design fabric! I love the shape of jasmine so used fresh leaves to make this print. Using cyanotype treated fabric, I left it in the sun for about 10 mins. Washed it out and all done. I’ve cut this out into the shape I need to make a lampshade. That’s the next step.

After 4 weeks of not being around to spend my Friday Craftee Foxing it was good to get back into my workroom today. I work 4 days a week in another job so Fridays is my special day, but also the day that gets lost to do other things if we’re busy.

My Etsy shop was in holiday mode while I was away, which is always a gamble as some think it can really hinder sales but I didn’t want to worry about sales while I was away.

Since being open I’ve had a few orders, so got these ones ready.

Then to the postbox. I use the app to record their proof of postage, which I’ve found so helpful and avoids trips to the Post Office.

I had turned off my website checkout, so turned than on, not that I get many orders. The most I get through this are emails from people asking if I need help with my SEO. How do they find it but customers don’t?

I also started preparing fabric for a Cyanotype lampshade but a surprise happened after I left the fabric on the table!

Ended the day with a walk with a friend. I usually run on a Friday morning but that wasn’t possible today and it was warm, so a walk it was!

After 2 weeks driving around Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania I have a lot of photos! I have chosen some random ones. So many amazing buildings, castles, history and good food. It was also so clean, no litter anywhere was really noticeable. A highlight was seeing a beaver, as I’ve only seen one once in the wild before. I’ve included that photo even though it’s rubbish! I took a video and you can hear it chopping!
We stayed in 10 different places, all good with different quirks - the plastic trees in one apartment were interesting, with a plant between the toilet and toilet roll holder!
I would highly recommend.

Any July babies reading this? The July birth flower is the Delphinium and represents joy, openness and positivity. This month is often associated with the Larkspur and I’m getting conflicting info on whether they’re the same plant but I’m going with the delphinium. Like all my birth flower images these were really flowers before being lightly pressed and scanned. They make very good pressed flowers and the photos are them a year on - they’ve really kept their colour!
