Had the pleasure of bringing this 1946 Gibson BR-3 lap steel back to life. The electrics were in a real bad way. Ended up replacing all of the components and getting the pickup rewound.

Dropping set-pin Fender locking tuners into a Squier neck.

Because Squiers use smaller tuner holes and don’t come with the dual locating pin holes, it takes a quick pass with a reamer to open them up to 10mm, plus a alignment jig to drill the pin holes accurately.

Simple upgrade, huge difference in tuning stability and string changes.

Making some good progress on the acoustic build. Last week I got the top glued on (basically using every clamp in the shop!) and got the dovetail joint done and ready for the neck. It’s really starting to come together. The bracing looks so nice in there—almost a shame to cover it up! Next up I’ll get the back glued on, and then start fitting the neck.

Just finished putting together this Tele b-bender partscaster for a customer. Really happy with how it turned out. It’s a mix of old and new parts, and while I had it apart, I went ahead and added full copper shielding throughout so it plays super quiet. It came together great and it’s a seriously cool guitar.
