We visited at her East London studio where she talks to us about the inspiration behind our rug collaboration as well as some insight into her practice as a multi-disciplinary artist and designer. 🎨
⁠
sees the city as her point of inspiration and a canvas to her sensory surface designs which encompasses architectural murals and tiles, retail pop-ups, basketball courts, colourful benches and even the backdrop to music events. ⁠
⁠
Now directing her lens to interiors, has designed a rug that brings her shape and shadow collage series into the tactility of rug-making, creating a playful centrepiece for homes and workspaces where geometric and irregular shapes align. ⁠

Introducing the “East London Lines” rug designed by ⁠ 💥

Designing through curiosity, the “East London Lines” rug emerged from a visual study, where Coco Lom took particular notice of her surroundings during her daily commute on the London Overground, noticing how the structured forms interacted with light and glass.⁠
⁠
“I’ve lived in Hackney my whole life, and I’ve always loved bold patterns and geometric shapes that run throughout the route, both on the trains and across all of the stations. I’ve used this collection of photos as inspiration for my design, and I love the idea that my rug tells like a playful visual story of a journey on the overground.”

Can a pub make a home? 👀

The interior designers at have really smashed the brief on this one, transforming a local pub into a cosy residential home which they made possible by fine-tuning the details, including a series of patterned, vintage and bespoke rugs. ⁠
⁠
Tonal schemes, maximalist patterns and a full display of textures fulfill the contemporary ‘drama in the everyday’ that their client was eager to achieve whilst staying true to its Victorian roots 🏠
⁠
The outcome? Each room tells a different story whilst singing from the same song sheet. We’re just obsessed with the look and feel of this aspirational space.🤩
