WORLD BOOK DAY

World Book Day takes place on THURSDAY 5th MARCH. Look out for our children dressing up and celebrating their favourite fictional characters on that day!

A number of children’s book publishers have produced special books to celebrate the event. Schools have distributed vouchers to exchange for these books. V and A BOOKS in The Avenue have a supply of World Book Day Books. Pop in to see us and collect the book with your voucher!

We regret that we must shut our shop for a few days from TUESDAY 13ᵗʰ JANUARY. We will however open on MONDAY 12ᵗʰ JANUARY.

This will be just for a few days and we hope to reopen by FRIDAY 16ᵗʰ JANUARY.

Val and I will be opening the bookshop Saturday 27th December 10am – 5pm.

We will be offering our 2026 Highams Park Calendars, as well as other publications.

To obtain your 2026 calendar, please drop in any time between 10am and 5pm.

We will reopen on 7th January.
