♻️🧪 WHAT IF WASTE COULD BECOME A RESOURCE?

We usually think of recycling as:

Use → Throw away → Sort → Recycle

But chemistry is helping create a much more interesting possibility:

Use → Recover → Transform → Use Again

Here are three fascinating examples:

🧴 PLASTIC

Chemical recycling can break certain plastics back down into their chemical building blocks, creating the possibility of using those materials again.

🌎 CO₂

Captured carbon can be used as an input for products and materials instead of being treated solely as something to dispose of or store.

🍎 FOOD WASTE

Through processes involving fermentation and enzymes, biological waste can be transformed into useful chemical ingredients.

This is where green chemistry, circular economy and climate technology come together. 🌱

The goal isn't simply to produce less waste.

It's to rethink what “waste” actually means.

🤖 AI CODING AGENTS ARE CHANGING PROGRAMMING.

But this isn't just “autocomplete got better.”

Older AI coding tools could suggest the next line or complete a function.

Today's coding agents can go much further:

💻 Plan a task
📝 Write code
🧩 Work across multiple files
🧪 Run tests
🐛 Find and fix errors
🔄 Iterate on their own work
📤 Prepare changes for review

That means the definition of a “good programmer” is changing.

It's becoming less about how quickly you can type code and more about whether you can:

🧠 Explain exactly what needs to be built
🔍 Review AI-generated code
🐛 Spot edge cases
🧪 Test thoroughly
⚙️ Understand why the code works — or doesn't

And there's a critical lesson here:

Never assume AI-generated code is correct just because it looks professional.

An AI agent can confidently produce code that contains a subtle bug.

The best developers won't simply ask:

“Can AI write the code?”

They'll ask:

“Can I verify that the code is actually correct?”

Is learning to code still worth it in 2026? 💻🤖

Yes — but the way you learn to code has changed.

Five years ago, learning programming often meant memorizing syntax, completing tutorials, and building small practice projects.

In 2026, those things still matter — but they're no longer enough on their own.

AI coding tools can generate code, explain errors, and help developers build faster. That means the value is shifting from “Can you write this code?” to:

👉 “Do you understand what you're building, and can you solve real problems?”

The developers who stand out will increasingly need:

🧠 Systems thinking
🔍 Critical code-reading and review
🤖 AI tool fluency
🛠️ Real problem-solving ability
💬 Communication and collaboration
🏗️ Understanding of software systems

And the entry bar is getting higher.

A completed coding tutorial doesn't prove much anymore.

A portfolio that demonstrates real problem-solving, thoughtful decisions, and working projects tells a much stronger story.

So if you're thinking about learning to code in 2026, don't ask:

❌ “Is coding still valuable?”

Ask:

✅ “Am I building skills that remain valuable as AI gets better?”

Will AI replace programmers? 🤖💻

Not anytime soon.

But AI is changing what it means to be a programmer.

AI coding tools are already excellent at:
→ Writing boilerplate code
→ Autocomplete and code generation
→ Explaining unfamiliar functions
→ Helping developers prototype faster

But there’s a bigger question:

What happens when the problem isn’t clearly defined?

AI still struggles with things developers deal with every day:
• Understanding business requirements
• Making complex engineering trade-offs
• Knowing why a system is failing
• Debugging problems nobody has encountered before
• Taking responsibility for technical decisions

So if you're learning programming in 2026, don't just ask:

❌ “Will AI take programming jobs?”

Ask:

✅ “Am I developing skills that AI makes more valuable?”

Learn to read code critically.
Understand system design.
Learn how software actually works.
And learn how to direct AI coding tools effectively.

The future probably isn't programmers vs. AI.

It's programmers who use AI vs. programmers who don't.
