From the record realisations for the Uganda Poll Tax keyplates, to the huge interest in the collections and ranges offered, almost 200 bidders participated in the sale and fought over material from over 30 vendors.

Here, George James, Head of Philately, presents a Kodi poll tax stamp from Kenya and three rare keyplates from Uganda.

The 5 Shilling Uganda Poll Tax is a stunning rarity of the highest importance, this by far the finest of the two examples known in any condition, ranking it amongst the rarest ‘Large Nyassa' Keyplates of any reign.
