A question we get asked quite a lot is... Who are 999 Appliances ?
well in short 999 Appliances is the rapid response arm for 3 Long Established Appliance retail companies , Ruislip Appliances Ltd , Wellingtons Electrical and Stellisons.

The three owners are good friends and decided to share a website with handpicked appliances all that we sold and stocked in our own stores.

We wanted to "cherry pick" the best value fastest moving lines and offer them to customers with rapid next day delivery where needed.

Even if you can't get out and BBQ it doesn't mean you can't make amazing Asian-style BBQ Beef...

This hanger steak recipe is incredibly tasty - plus it's just as good whether cooked on a barbie, under a grill or in a griddle pan...

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil, plus extra for grilling
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp peeled grated ginger
3 cloves garlic, grated or finely chopped
1 shallot, finely chopped
900g hanger (onglet) steak
Handful of thinly sliced spring onions
Toasted sesame seeds, to serve

METHOD
In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, soy sauce, oils, ginger, garlic, shallots and some salt and pepper to taste until the sugar has dissolved. Add the steak, massage the marinade into the meat and leave at room temperature for 15 minutes.

Preheat a gas / charcoal grill or a good quality griddle pan until medium-hot.

Grill/Griddle the steak for about 9 minutes in total for medium rare or until cooked to you liking, flipping halfway through.

Transfer to a chopping board and leave to rest for about 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak against the grain and top with the spring onions and sesame seeds to serve.
