The heat is really on in London this week ☀️ . It looks like the mercury will peak on Wednesday and Thursday so we’ve decided to err on the cool side and keep out of the wool shop for those 2 boiling hot days.
It’s a bit of a last minute change of plan which I know can be irritating, so to make amends, we’ll have a fun flash sale across the site during the closed days. Perfect timing for anyone who wants to pick up some travel knitting supplies.

Join me on our trip to Mota de Cuervo, home of the Wooldreamers mill, and source of yarns that, in just a few years, have become a much-loved staple of all our knitting lives.
From sorting fleeces, to scouring, drying, carding, spinning, twisting and tying, there is endless care taken by the WOOLDREAMERS with every step of the production. Listening to Oscar and Mila explain how they work and why they do things this way, it’s plain that this about so much more than just a wool business - it’s about respect for a heritage which provided the legacy they have inherited, and it’s about the planet and the future. It’s about the shepherds, the sheep, and the mill folk and the knitters. It’s about all of us. It’s Ramon’s vision of a way things can be and it’s really working.

So nearly there!
Lace weight yarn is not my usual tipple of choice but turns out to be just the ticket for knitting through a heat wave. Yes it takes a bit longer but oh boy, when a yarn like this steals your heart, it makes every super-fine stitch a joy. Good job too as there are loads of them.
