7-7 UCL 2nd Team against Imperial Medics

Congratulations! When we played Imperial Medics oh so long ago at the beginning of the year we got trampled. Tonight we trampled back. It was a match full of it all, from the best to the worst. From amazing one-man drives, to great coordinated passes, to players losing complete sanity.

Tonight's match really deserves several players of the match. But instead of looking at goals and the offence, tonight I turn to pit-D. Sabreena clearly takes the medal here, with some amazing haggling against Imperial Med's pinnacle of brute force.

Its been a great season ladies and gentleman! Keep working on those thighs and that shoulder power. Next year will be spiffin'!

It's a WIN! 11-7 to UCL 2nd Team against Imperial 2nd Team.

2nd Team came out with an impressive performance tonight! Imperial 2nd (even with the helping talent of a UCLU star player) couldn't face up to the speed, blood-thirsty and trigger-happy 2nd Team.

The star player nomination of the night goes to Sophie Mayrbaeurl! She was driving up and down the pool the whole night through. Nothing stopped her! Not even three Imperial players, and their goalie, as she dived through the storm and scored a fantastic goal!

Congrats second team! The energy tonight was amazing! A wonderful season's peak!

2nd Team was out on the attack last night!

Our small team was out against an endless St Bart's team, but despite the imbalance in the force we were all out on the offence. It was a beautiful first quarter before the tide turned and our defence withered away.

We have never had so many opportunities and attempts at scoring before! Yet, the final score (17-5 to St Barts) is a scaring reminder that defending our goal somehow slipped our mind.

Congratulations to Pelayo, nominated man of the match. Despite some suspicious jumps, he was at the centre of all the attacks.

Also, it was Charlotte's last match with us. A big hand out to her (and to Greta) for her great committment to the team! You will be missed!

Let's bring everything we know together people!

14 players (7 per team) swimming frantically up and down a double deep end pool trying to keep their heads above water and score a few goals in the process. Tactics are similar to basketball, but in terms of physicality and aggression it more resembles Greco-Roman wrestling. Oh, and you can only hol...

Hello

So the men's 1st team has had a hard time of it recently. Much of this is best unmentioned and unimagined. I'll will skip over the 3-matches-in-one-day-against-teams-that-train-many-more-times-than-us BUCS games from last week. I will also skip over the travesty against Imperial Medics. Instead, I will focus on triumph, and a notable triumph we have had.

Yesterday we had a Upolo game against Surrey, which is in Guildford FYI. Unfortunately, because of some very poor communication on my behalf, illness, general winter malaise, confusion, and the Singaporean propensity to travel we only had 7 players.

If you don't know, a water polo team consists of 7 players.

So, after like 1.5 quarters we were winning by some significant margin then one of our players was permanently excluded. The opposition captain smugly came over to offer us to concede. "No, go away" we said.

Anyway, we stayed in the lead for a long time until the ref got bored of us just holding the ball and not doing anything with it so shouted at us to stop time wasting. By now it was the final quarter and they took the lead which we could get back.

So we're all winners, them and us. Happy days. Them for being able to score a few goals against a team with one less player than them and us for being being better.

***** two players of the match **** Aristos played great and rallied the team where i fail to do so. and Rowland who before his exclusion was zimming around all over the place and took his exclusion on the chin very well.

Its better later than never... Yesterday we had our 2nd BUCS tournament of the year. Normally i should say what we did wrong what needs to be improved and then say but we did this and that really well...
Well to be honest I think the team played amazing far better then I would have ever imagined we would play , no to mention without 4 of our great players. We were playing so good that it makes me smiley every time i think about it!!:) Liz was amazing at shooting,Kim was defensing as a lion in the point, Becky was getting the ball from everyone, Greta's fast help everywhere, Aeron for being so damn good in the goal and two of our 'fresh meat' Sophie and Malgorzata were showing how is water-polo done. There is only one player who I didn't mention, which is the women of both matches and I can say the biggest improvement of the year Sabreena !!
Also thanks for Aristos, for being our coach for this time and helping us with instructions.
Last thing I can say is well done Ladies fantastic job!! And monday play the same👏👏👏👍🐯
Ps.: i nearly forgot we WON 5-1 against southampthon , and sadly lost against imperial 6-4
