A bedroom suite with purple walls and flooring, centred around blonde Neoclassical furniture. A swan-armed settee is framed by matching console tables and monumental mirrored pier glasses, with double-banked architectural prints arranged behind to reinforce the room’s composed symmetry.

Blonde wood set against shadow — a study in contrast and quiet form.
A Biedermeier-inspired interior where warm tones meet deep walls and saffron drapery, creating a richly atmospheric setting. Dark walls offset the blonde furniture and saffron-yellow fabric to striking effect — shades echoed throughout Blakes.

From the Freddie Mercury Collection.

An Art Deco style ebonised, marquetry and satinbirch inverted breakfront sideboard, dating from the first half of the 20th century.

The beautifully composed façade is centred by hexagonal marquetry panels depicting fruit-filled vases, framed by rich satinbirch veneers and restrained ebonised detailing. The balanced proportions and sculptural silhouette give the piece a strong architectural presence while retaining the warmth characteristic of fine Art Deco craftsmanship.

Sold at Sotheby’s, London — 2023.
