We need an experienced glazier to start asap, although if you are furloughed currently don't let that put you off applying.

Must be calm, methodical and have a good customer service outlook. Equally comfortable in hacking out sashes or assisting in fixing mirrors or splashbacks. Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. Lots of benefits and top rates of pay. Must have a full driving licence and work cleanly.

No bodgers or road ragers please!

So, as today is Thursday, we’re throwing it back to around 1980 when Brian first bought A&B Glassworks. Here he is proudly posing with his first van. Not bad for a boy who grew up in a prefab.

Brian has been a unique, (now vintage) feature of Stoke Newington High Street for the past 40 years. Wow, he’s seen some change! The business is now in his son’s safe hands. So, when we re-open, Brian will be showing up to do what he does best - cut glass and serve the community in his own special way. Who says you have to retire at 75?
