Meet Mark! If you've ever had furniture delivered from one of our St Luke's Hospice shops, there's a good chance you've met him!

Mark is one of our fantastic delivery drivers. Along with the rest of the team, he's out on the road every day collecting generous donations and delivering furniture to happy customers across London.

We've recently expanded our collection area to cover around a 12-mile radius (and we will go further if we can), making it even easier to donate your unwanted furniture and large electrical items. Simply send us some photos via WhatsApp or email, and our team will let you know if we can accept them before arranging a convenient collection.

If you've spotted something you love in one of our shops but can't get it home, our drivers can help with that too. We can deliver up to three furniture items straight to your door for just £25 Monday to Friday or £35 on Saturdays. Every delivery helps fund the compassionate care we provide at St Luke's Hospice.

🚚 Collections: Free of charge (Monday–Saturday)
📦 Deliveries: £25 weekdays | £35 Saturdays

To arrange a free collection, send photos of your items via WhatsApp 07739 338607 or email [email protected]

Please note: We can't accept white goods

Thank you for supporting St Luke's Hospice 💜

Did you know that even your most worn-out clothes are still valuable to us?

Around 60% of the clothing donated to us isn't suitable for sale in our charity shops due to wear and tear. These items are classed as 'rag' and are sent for recycling.

While we still receive an income from rag, the value has fallen dramatically in recent years, dropping from 45p per kilo to just 16p. That's had a significant impact on the money we raise to help fund hospice care.

That's why we're asking for one small favour.

If you're donating clothing, please separate your items into two bags:

🛍️ One with clothes that are suitable for resale.
♻️ One clearly labelled 'RAG' for anything with holes, stains, heavy wear, or items you wouldn't pass on to a friend.

Every donation is sorted by hand by our incredible volunteers. By labelling your rag bag, it can go straight to our recycling collection, saving valuable volunteer time so they can focus on preparing more saleable donations for our shops.

It only takes a few extra moments, but it makes a real difference.

Please share this post so we can get more people to BAG THEIR RAG! - It could help us raise more for local hospice care.

Thank you for bearing with us while we worked through the backlog of donations at our Waverley Donation Centre. We're pleased to let you know that the warehouse is now fully reopened and once again accepting all donations, including clothing, shoes, books, vinyl, bric-a-brac, furniture and artwork.

If you're planning to drop off donations this week, we'd really appreciate one small favour. If you have any items that aren't suitable for resale, please bag them separately and clearly label them "RAG". This allows us to send them straight for recycling, saving our volunteers valuable time sorting through donations.

Examples of RAG items include clothing with rips, holes or stains, worn pyjamas, used socks, or anything you wouldn't happily pass on to a friend.

Thank you for helping us make the most of every donation and for continuing to support St Luke's Hospice 💜

Do you have clothes that have seen better days? Don't throw them away, donate them!

Those worn-out, ripped or stained items that you don't think are good enough to donate? We still want them. Items like these are classed as "rag", and even though they can't be sold on our shop floor, they're collected and recycled, and we receive a small payment for every kilo.

Watch our Head of Retail, Claire Stockman, explain why your old, worn-out clothes are more valuable than you think, and the one simple thing we ask you to do when you donate them.

All we ask is that you bag your rag separately and label it clearly when you drop it off. That's it. No item goes to waste, and every little helps fund the care we provide to people in our community.

Our Waverley Donation Centre is temporarily closed for clothing donations and is expected to reopen in September. This is to allow us to sort through the high volume of clothing donations we have received thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

We'll still be accepting bric-a-brac and toys at Waverley. All other shops are still receiving clothing donations.

We're incredibly grateful for your continued support. Every donation helps raise vital funds for St Luke's Hospice, and we thank you for your patience while we clear the warehouse and make room for future donations.
