For the second year, Brompton Design District welcomes back Alex Tieghi-Walker (ALEX TIEGHI-WALKER) as curator of its 2026 programme.
A gallerist, curator and founder of platform TIWA Select, Alex works across art, design and craft, bringing together artists and designers whose practices challenge conventional distinctions between disciplines. His curatorial approach is characterised by an interest in material, process and the unexpected connections that emerge when different practices are placed in dialogue.
His recent projects include OFFICE HOURS at The Shop at Sadie Coles HQ (Sadie Coles HQ 赛迪HQ画廊) and a collaboration with PIN-UP Magazine (PIN–UP® Magazine) in New York earlier this year. Across these exhibitions, Tieghi-Walker has brought together an expansive international network of artists, designers and makers, including Dana Arbib (Dana Yolanda Arbib), Leo Kaspar (Leo Kaspar), Joe Sweeney (J O E S W E E N E Y), Rich Aybar (R A WORKSHOP), Faye Toogood (Faye Toogood MBE), Sal Salandra (Sal Salandra), Cadis (C A D I S), Carmen D’Apollonio (), Lindsey Adelman (), Deborah Needleman (Deborah Needleman), Grace Prince (Grace prince), Jim McDowell (Jim McDowell) and Simone Bodmer-Turner (Simone Bodmer-Turner).
For Brompton Design District 2026, Tieghi-Walker curates Perfectly Imperfect, a programme exploring design as a process rather than a finished answer. Across exhibitions, installations, performances and working studios, the programme considers the experiments, revisions, material discoveries and human exchanges that shape creative practice.
