Did you see everything that was happening in Uxbridge town centre yesterday?
There was a market going from Morello Lounge do towards the centre of town.
I had a wander and looked at everything, I may have bought a melon pan (Japanese cake!) from PanDo Bakery – Melonpan & Cookies

There was some lovely things to buy, from hair shampoo bars to wooden engravings, jewellery and some street food too.

Then I wandered down to The Pavillions where there was the Hillingdon Greener cleaner festival.
It was also inside At Margaret’s Church and I picked up some recycling bags from Hillingdon recycling.

I met the ladies from Refill Your Cup if you want to reduce your packaging waste in your weekly shop, pop to their store in Ruislip (next to Pizza Express) they also make their own peanut butter which has nothing added to it.
♻️
It was lovely to chat to everyone and learn some ways to help make Hillingdon a bit greener.
Safe to say when I got home, I pumped up the tyres on my bike and promised myself I’d take my bike rather than my car more often from now on.

Today our Mayor, Cllr Reeta Chamdal, officially opened the newly refurbished Barclays Bank in Uxbridge!

We had a little look around inside and it’s lovely! The branch has had a fresh new makeover, creating a bright and welcoming space for customers.

It’s always great to see investment in our town centre and businesses continuing to improve and evolve. 💙

🍽️ Have you discovered Cave Lounge yet?

Tucked away on St John’s Road in Uxbridge, this really is a bit of a hidden gem!

Do I thought instead of Friday we would have a scrumptious Sunday.

We popped along for lunch with two of our brilliant Uxbridge Ambassadors who help keep Uxbridge a safer place and received the warmest welcome from Natasha and the team.

We sat outside beside the river, enjoyed some absolutely delicious food (the sea bream was blooming lovely! 😍) The boys had the steak sandwich and Mike had the pork Schnitzel everyone loved it.

We had a good look around inside and their gorgeous garden and outside bar (it’s very peaceful next to the river)

And as it happened to be my birthday… Natasha surprised us with a selection of desserts AND a candle in the apple tart. (Never tasted anything so good!) the chocolate mouse was rosy and melted in my mouth, the crème brûlée was perfection and the summer fruit ton mess was lovely.
🥹🎂

Naturally, I felt it was my duty to try them all. 😂

Great food, loads of outside space, a peaceful riverside setting and genuinely lovely people.

Today, we joined members of our community outside Uxbridge Civic Centre to mark Emergency Services Day. 999 Day.
🇬🇧

The Mayor Cllr Reeta Chamdal, Cllr Steve Tuckwell, and Reverend Andy Thompson gave speeches recognising the dedication, bravery and service of those who work across our emergency services.

Together, we observed a two-minute silence as the 999 day flag was raised in honour of all those who serve, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

A poignant moment to stop, reflect and say thank you to the incredible people who are there for us when we need them most. ❤️

CeX have moved from The Pavilions to The Chimes Shopping Centre the store looks great and I’m sure it’s bigger now too?

are opening a nursery upstairs this month. It looks beautiful and has lots of lovely spaces for learning, sensory play and quite areas for reading and relaxing.
