Do you feel like a hypocrite because you keep falling into the same mistake? 😔

We often think that a "true believer" is someone who never sins. But look at what Allah SWT describes in Surah Al-Imran:

"And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins... and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know." (3:135)

Notice the sequence:

They slipped.
They remembered Allah immediately.
They sought forgiveness.
They stopped.
The Prophet ﷺ gave us the ultimate reality check when he said:

"All of the children of Adam are sinners, and the best sinners are those who repent." (Tirmidhi)

Here is the lesson for us:
You are not a fraud because you struggle. You are human. The difference between a sinner who is destroyed and a sinner who is saved is not that one never falls—it’s that the best sinner refuses to stay down.

If you are reading this right now feeling guilty about yesterday, don't let Shaytan make you despair. Despair is the trap. Repentance is the way out.

📖 In "The Poisoned Pleasure," we discuss how to stop the persistence (Israr) on sins so that your repentance becomes true and lasting.

Did you know that giving in to your desire costs you much more than just the sin itself? 🛑

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) listed 13 things that happen when you fail to be patient. It’s not just about punishment—it’s about what you lose right now.

Giving in to that desire:
1️⃣ Cuts off a pleasure that is actually more complete and lasting than the sin.
2️⃣ Strips away blessings from your life, money, and family.
3️⃣ Brings worry, grief, and sadness that are far heavier than the brief joy of the sin.
4️⃣ Lowers your status and honor in the eyes of others.
5️⃣ Opens a door for lowly people to belittle you.

We often think we are just "having a moment of weakness," but we are actually trading our peace, our honor, and our provision for a cheap thrill.

Patience isn't a punishment; it's a protection. 🛡️

Why is it so hard to stop, even when we know it’s wrong? 🤔

There is a profound insight from Ibn Al-Qayyim that changes everything:

"The pleasure found in some sins is like delicious food... but poisoned." 🍷☠️

When you eat poisoned food, it tastes delicious going down. You enjoy every bite. But shortly after, the poison does its work.

The problem isn't that the sin doesn't taste good—it does. The problem is that the sweetness is fleeting, and the bitterness that follows lasts a lifetime.

Every time you fall back into that habit, you aren't satisfying your hunger; you're just swallowing more poison. It strips away your blessings, your peace of mind, and your connection with Allah.

If you want to stop, stop looking at the taste, and start looking at the poison.

📘 In "The Poisoned Pleasure," we break down exactly how to shift your mindset to see the sin for what it really is.
