❗️ THIS WEDNESDAY - 30th September from 6-7pm

A new creative community project exploring five significant events that took place around Deptford and Lewisham between 1977–1981:

• The Battle of Lewisham
• The destruction of the original Albany
• The making of Babylon
• The New Cross Fire
• The Black People’s Day of Action

The project will explore their cultural significance, histories and lasting legacies through community involvement, multimedia events, immersive displays and celebrations - leading up to their 50th anniversaries.

📍 Come along to the first meeting at HOME this Wednesday, 6–7pm.

Everyone is welcome, whether you remember these events first-hand or are discovering their history for the first time.

TOMORROW! Let us introduce you to our new concept: House Party, where not only do you bring the vibes, but you get to pick the tunes. 👌

Remember the best house party you ever went to? The one where someone handed you the aux lead and the kitchen was full of snacks, board games and people you actually liked? That's what we're doing - we just swapped the kitchen for our bar and record shop.

It's your night, so you're in charge of the music - request songs all night and we'll play them. No queue politics, no DJ ego, just the tunes you actually want to hear.

Come early for Happy Hour between 4–7pm, where all cocktails are 2-4-1, with some pouring for just £8.50. PLUS, 10% drinks all night for students!

🍌 Club Bananas is back again next week on Thursday 1st of October, for mellow evening of relaxed drawing - accompanied by music from our in-house record collection.

We’ll be exploring experimental drawing techniques - loose lines, rhythmic strokes and patterns that feel natural to you. It’s a chance to explore drawing in a relaxed setting with no judgement or pressure.

Led by local artist Banana, you’ll be offered a tutorial adopting some of their favourite abstract drawing techniques - though there’s always space for your own ideas to be followed and for you to lead with your imagination and personal style.

Scribbles and doodles encouraged! All abilities welcome - no previous art training/ experience necessary.
