My Name is Carol & this is my stor
y of how it all began. My Mother In Law sadly past away and we were clearing through her life long belongings and clothes when I came across her collection of dressing gowns. Memories came flooding back as I folded them away. We very rarely saw her in anything else, in last months of her life. Remembering the times she had cherished and cuddled her great grand children. I thought how lovely it would be to make each of them a teddy bear from these gowns, that would be Forever in their hearts. Encouraged by happy memories rather than dwelling on the sadness she is no longer with us. So the preparation began. The first gown was laid out. Pattern pieces positioned and pinned, but it took two days for me to make the first cut. Encouraged by the thought of how delighted she would be seeing her grand children's faces when they saw their bears. Then telling her story to their children, for years to come. Through these yet to be made B Loved Memory Bears
My Bear was made from my Mother in Laws blanket and one of her dressings gowns. This sits on the table in the living room or gets popped on the shelf above the fire place. So my gift to you is to help keep the memories alive, every time you look at your B Loved Memory Bear, made with love by myself from your loved ones items that are precious to you. I have always sewn throughout my life, I love making things from scratch, but I have to say my true passion is making keepsakes from truly precious clothing. How it started was a sad story, my Mother in Law went to the stars in the sky, she always wore her beautiful dressing gowns and night gowns, we all saw in these every day. So I decided to make the eldest Grand Daughter a bear made from here favourite items as a surprise. Little did I know that it would take me 3 days to actually cut them ( feeling guilty at cutting them and wondering what she would think of me cutting up her beautiful garments) , but I did it and the result was amazing , but even more amazing was the reaction I got when her Granddaughter received this, she knew instantly what they were made from, and we all shed a tear, but it was a happy tear as they brought back memories and got us talking about times when she was here. And that feeling I got when I gave the bear is what I feel each and every time I am given such precious garments. I am truly humbled, I really am. I want to make the keepsake to your specifications, it’s your keep sake so I want to ensure all details, logos, specific items are too your liking, you may not have thought about specifics but I am here to ensure your happy, so I like to see the clothing then talk about the details. Nothing is too much trouble. I have a full list of items I make and if not on the list then I can ensure it is, there may be an item on here that you like but want to make slight alterations, again this is no problem, I am here to help. Below is my list of items and prices – how many garments I require for each is all dependant on what size clothing they are to be made from so please ask
