Team Netbuster
Members of the Team Netbuster squad have enjoyed numerous successes over the summer.
Colin Beech qualified for his 8th Riverfest Final winning the preceding final practice match with a fantastic 155lb of bream. His winning form continued into the following week winning the first day of the final with 25lb from the Outfall peg on the Burton Joyce Road stretch. His day two draw proved a little trickier but he still managed to hold on to 5th spot. No mean feat battling with the best river anglers in the country and adds to his 2nd overall back in 2021.
Unsurprisingly our canal anglers have been at the top of the list for teams participating in this years Division 2 National on the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire. Dave Gough and Paul Middleton were successful in helping Wigston AC claim top spot. Whilst Roger Marlow helped Sensas Lifestyle gain promotion to Division 1, with Martin Almen also securing a Section win for Loughborough Soar Match Group.
Adey Reynolds continues his rich vein of form following on from his individual win in the Angling Trust Winter League Final earlier in the year on the Old Nene at March by winning the Barford 3 day festival on the River Avon. Adding other big match successes on the Trent at Burton including 4th place in the Roger Smith Memorial and 5th overall in the Drennan Coors Final.
Three Netbuster anglers featured in the top 8 of the 70 peg two day Frank Barlow Memorial match on the Trent - Dave Gough (6th), Nick West (7th) and Adey Reynolds (8th). Nick also secured 6th place overall in the Coors/Cadence 3 day Festival.
Meanwhile Pete Allwood has been enjoying match success on the canals taking an excellent 19lb of bream on the Erewash, 12lb of rudd on the Bottesford and 9lb of roach on the Beeston Canal. Pete also finished a very credible 6th on the 2 day Loughborough Canal Festival with team mate Roger Marlow securing 8th spot.
Martin Almen and Dave Gough were successful in qualifying for the competitive Canal and River Trust Pairs Final both picking up section prizes in the final and finishing 10th in the 70 pairs event.
We wish all our anglers continued success throughout the rest of the season.
