As long as I can remember, my nan always baked cakes. Whenever we were there she would always let me help. I have always made cakes for and with my children, but mainly for their birthdays and for activities. I never thought I would get into it as much as I have. Until I lost one of the most important people in my life, my dad. I needed to find something to fill that void he had left within me and

that is where i found comfort in cakes. Not eating them but making them! and my dad did love a cake too!. I have only made cakes for friends (of friends) and family so far and someone suggested I make a page to showcase them (scary thought). Although some of the cakes I have made were not my original idea, I have enjoyed recreating them as best as I could.
