I’m Sarah, the hands and heart behind Maeflower Crochet Creations. Based in the charming market town of Louth, I find endless inspiration in our local beauty to create unique, handmade crochet pieces. For me, crocheting is more than just a craft—it is a form of meditation. There is something incredibly soothing about the rhythm of the hook and the feel of the yarn. My mission is to translate that

Welcome to the Poppy Appeal 2026!

Last year the local community and volunteers from the Lincolnshire area, and further afield, very kindly knitted and crocheted poppies for our 2025 Appeal and we received just over 4,000!

This year we are aiming for 8,800, to represent the overal number of service men and women from the county of Lincolnshire, specifically the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment, who died across all services in WW1 and WW2.

We are asking for YOUR help to knit, crochet or sew red and purple poppies for us to display at the War Memorial in Sutton on Sea and the surrounding area.

If you are local to Sutton on Sea, we have a "drop off" point at:
J D Craft and Sew Fabrics on the High Street, Sutton on Sea - they are offering 10% off any purchase of wool for this worthwhile cause - pop in and see them.
