Great guitarist

SOUTHWOLD JAZZ CLUB 10TH OCTOBER

A remarkably versatile and expansive guitarist/singer, encompassing swing, bebop, blues and everything between, Denny Ilett is also director of the Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival. Formerly with legendary New Orleans singer Lillian Boutté, Denny has recently received great acclaim for his appearances at Ronnie Scott’s fronting the Electric Lady Big Band in his jazz salute to Jimi Hendrix. Expect an evening of swinging blues entertainment with Denny and the Southwold Jazz Club trio of Chris Ingham – piano Geoff Gascoyne – bass & George Double – drums.

Great band

Cut Sessions returns this Friday night as we welcome FLOOK: the iconic Anglo-Irish band bring their inimitable trademark sound, where traditional Celtic folk meets a contemporary vibe. The band hold fast to their rightful reputation as exceptional musical innovators; the whistles and flutes of Brian Finnegan and Sarah Allen, the guitar of Ed Boyd and the bodhran of John Joe Kelly weaving and spinning tunes rooted in tradition over precise acoustic grooves, with a rare blend of fiery technical brilliance, delicate ensemble interaction and a bold, adventurous musical imagination. Tickets at £25 from our website now or available on the door.
