Well there was me thinking I was going to have a few quiet days in the garden catching up with my bees 😂
A quick check on my phone this afternoon suddenly revealed a host of new followers on social media (127 of you across FB and Insta so far 😁) and a flood of online orders. All down to a repeat on the BBC today of the episode of Escape to the Country my little flock of chickens and I featured on earlier this year.
So first of all a big WELCOME to you all and thank you for taking the time to look me up 🤗 All those orders took me by suprise but I will be working my way through them as fast as I can. Some prints sold out online very quickly but I have now restocked my Folksy shop so do check back again. There is a link to my shop in my bio 🔝
Luckily my sprained hand is on the mend but I'm sure Dave Gould will be able to help me get everything wrapped up and posted 👍

It's been a while since we've been able to escape to Mortimer Forest. We are so lucky to have this wonderful place on our doorstep 💕 I used the opportunity to focus my attention ( and camera) onto patterns and textures in nature. Here are some of my favourites 📷
My hand is also feeling a little better so hopefully I'll be able to add some of these observations into my nature journal soon 🙏

So sadly no drawing or painting for me for a bit. My left hand is going to be out of action for a little while 😭
I managed to trip over a guy rope whilst camping this weekend and tried to break my fall. I've sprained it but more alarmingly an x-ray revealed that my thumb was also dislocated at the top joint 🙀 Not from the fall but from arthritis damage. I'd got used to my left thumb hurting a bit, not being able to bend and it's funny angle. Now I know the reason why!
Once the sprain has healed normal service should resume 🙏 I could have the troublesome bones in question fused together but that would mean I'd lose even more movement, so for now I'll just stick to hand physio.
With a little help from Mr Bramble Cottage I will still be able to fulfill my recent online orders and make it to the Local to Ludlow market this Thursday and the Kington show this weekend 😊👍
