This last week has been a more modern/mid century kinda week. Though I specialise in antiques, the modern pieces I undertake are treated the same way, and all handstitched and built to stand the test of time.

This lovely “French Regency” style chair and matching footstool have left today. They came in a sorry state and have been completely re-webbed and sprung traditionally and re-upholstered in a lovely Warwick Fabric in a duck egg blue/grey, with scroll braid to finish. ❤️👌

Just finished this gorgeous gingham antique iron framed button back chair. If you’re interested in the process scroll through the photos. Being iron framed the back has to
be completely handstitched at each stage, which is fairly time consuming.
Just made me think of Summer, picnics and “Country Living” ❤️🌻

Just delivered this fabulous, turn of the century, drop arm sofa. It arrived in a very sad state and has been taken back to the frame, webbed, sprung, stuffed with traditional materials and recovered in Warwick Fabrics UK Ltd Legacy Tapestrey collection. The many hours have paid off, it’s now similar to how it would have looked 100 + years ago and hopefully set to become a much loved family heirloom!
If you’re interested in the process, the before photos are quite a revelation!

These mid century Cintique armchairs are not only comfortable but so well made. These, along with Parker Knoll and Ercol are
modern day classics and well worth having restored.
