Do you have blocked ears or difficulty hearing? Make an appointment for ear wax removal at www.northernclinics.co.uk. Please note this is a private service and terms and conditions apply.

Blocked ears can be uncomfortable, itchy and distracting.

Earwax build-up is one possible cause, but it’s worth having your ears properly checked rather than trying to manage the problem yourself.

Northern Clinics’ Ear Health Service includes an ear examination and diagnosis, with treatment or a prescription provided where appropriate following examination.

Appointments are available to book online, with no GP referral required.

Remember – UV rays are invisible but powerful. Even if there’s a breeze, your skin still needs protection when the UV index is 3 or more.

Follow our helpful tips below to protect your skin from sun damage:

• Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen (and reapply every 2 hours!).
• Cover up with suitable clothing.
• Wear a hat and sunglasses with 100% UV protection.
• Seek shade during peak UV hours (11am – 3pm).
• Babies under six months should stay out of direct sunlight.
