From start to finish it was a fabulous day and I had no time to post this!!!

An absolutely HUGE thank you to Sally and her family for hosting these The Dorset Brocante events. If you've not visited them before, you really should. Many, many excellent vintage brocante traders, makers and true artisans bringing what they love to you.

We had a blast, and thank you to all who returned to us, met for the first time, chatted to us and bought from us, we love what we do because of you.

Plus, I have the very best of helpers, my Mama and Kelly, two amazing women who deserve all good things ♥️💋

These will be coming with us to the summer brocante. A glorious fair with over 40 traders of vintage, French brocante, gardenalia, artisan made goods.

Hopefully, normal service can be resumed next week, but this week, far too hot, and I'm mindful of my shop menagerie's health!

After five shows each between two and four days long all since March, we're flagging. It's time for a little recharge.

I say the royal "we" but it's actually just me! Me, the shop cats George & Bertie, and my wonderful Mama and Pops, who prop me up.

Mama volunteers her time in the shop on Wednesdays (and comes to every show to help me out) just so I can open.

Because (here's the shocker!) it's not all sunshine and rainbows running your own business. In fact, I have two jobs just to keep the doors to my hearts desire open, and (like so many other independent small business women) I often work seven days a week just to keep up.

So, if we're not open when you come past, or you don't get a response immediately, please, cut me a little slack whilst I do my utmost to put some food on my cats table 😊

Honestly, what a show! We had a fabulous time at Thread , seriously THE best event.

Thank you to all the event organisers, not only is it a great venue, it's curated so well and there was such choice - if you've not been yet, get it in your diary for next year, you won't be disappointed.

My favourite picks were

Zooniverse Designs funky jewellery and buttons

Laura ter Kuile beautifully made wooden peg boards for cotton reels, bobbins, and overlocker cones all handmade by Laura

Missy Mop Fabrics deadstock and vintage fabric, buttons, and trims (I may just have indulged a little bit!)

Seeded gorgeous range of fabrics

We'll be closed for two weeks from next Thursday.

You can find us on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June at Thread, with all our gorgeous dressmaking fabric, patterns, and remnants

Thread is a wonderful two day event with lots of textiles, patterns, sewing, and making traders

Then we're taking a little holiday.

Fair warning: that means no shop, no website, no orders, no emails, and no phone calls will be answered during this time 😊 thanks!

Back on Wednesday 24th June 10am to 2pm.
