🎣🐟 DAY 2 — MICHAEL’S TURN! 🐟🎣

Well… today it was definitely Michael’s turn to show me how it’s done! 😂

2 good fish landed and another 2 good fish lost! 😅🎣

You totally outfished me in my own area today mate! 🤣 And apparently I needed a demonstration on how my own lures actually work, so thank you for that! 😂😂

We both also managed a little tiddler each, which brings our running total to…

🐟 DAY 1 — 1 bass
🐟 DAY 2 — 4 bass
🔥 TOTAL — 5 BASS

Still a really hard day trying to find the fish and get amongst them, but for me the main goal today was simple…

I wanted to see Michael’s rod bending. 🎣

And thankfully, we achieved that twice with two decent fish! one around 52/53cm and another at 45cm.

Good job today mate 👏🐟

One more day to go tomorrow…

Hopefully we can find a few more bass and add to that total! 🤞🎣

And hopefully we can have a little less wind too please! 😂💨

🎣🐟 DAY 1 — SAVED THE BLANK! 🐟🎣

Hard work today! 😅

We spent a good 8 hours in one area, firing out the topwaters and Rattle Tails, trying different retrieves and doing everything we could to find an active bass.

We actually sighted a few fish, but just couldn’t get them switched on and chasing the lures. One of those frustrating days where you know the bass are there… they just aren’t interested! 😂

Towards the end of the day we decided to give a little area a quick try around the bottom of the tide…

And thankfully, we finally found one! 🙌🐟

A lovely bass smashed the 6” Lemon Rattle Tail and saved us from the dreaded blank right at the end of the day! 😂🎣

After the amount of effort we’d put in, that one fish felt bloody good!

So after Day 1…

🐟 Bass count: 1

Hopefully we can find a few more tomorrow! 🤞

We’ve got a plan of action for the morning and we’re feeling pretty hopeful that we can get amongst them early. 👀🎣

Day 2 tomorrow… let’s see what happens! 🤞🐟🎣

We couldn't get a measure on this fish as we left the bags a while away 😂 probably around 55cm

I Had a very quick hour after work in some Local water near my job.

Caught 5 with this being the biggest and missed a hook up on a couple of chunks 🐟🎣

No more fishing for me for a couple of days 😂 I will withdraw from my addition until my mate arrives, ready for Sunday's session! 🐟🎣 Michael Edwards

🎣🔥 NEW LEADER — 64CM BASS! 🔥🎣

What an absolute BEAST for Rory! 💪

A cracking 64cm bass, caught on the Bass Candy Splasher — and to make it even better, it was a NEW PB and came on his FIRST CAST! 😂🔥

Absolutely buzzing for you mate, well deserved! 👏🎣

Shame you couldn’t get a decent photo holding the fish, Rory, because that’s one you definitely deserved a proper trophy shot with! 😂

And that fish has shaken things up…

🏆 Rory now takes TOP SPOT on the leaderboard in this year’s Predator Lures Longest Shore Bass Competition with 64cm!

There’s still plenty of time left though… 👀

🎣 SOMETIMES YOU’VE GOT TO WORK FOR THEM!

after a short session and a blank yesterday along the sea wall. we made up for it today, cracking morning session with a few bass finding their way onto the Predator Lures Splasher. 💥🎣
But they certainly didn't make it easy…

Sometimes you've got to go and find the fish, and today that meant leaving the nice hard ground behind and doing a bit of knee sliding through some deep mud! 😂

At one point the only way we could comfortably fish the area was kneeling down in it. I think it's safe to say we committed to the cause
But that's fishing for me. If I think there are bass somewhere, I'll do whatever it takes during a session to find them and get that hook-up! 🐟🎣

Thankfully today the effort paid off. 👌
Some absolutely brilliant takes on the Splasher, including these cracking better fish. There's still nothing quite like watching a bass come up and absolutely SMASH a lure off the surface! 💥
Mud everywhere. Knees destroyed. Bass caught. Mission accomplished. 😂🎣

All fish safely returned to fight another day as always ❤️
Rory nearly had himself an extremely good fish but couldn't get the hook up! great effort mate.
