From 10th September, we will be hosting a sound installation by Dr Clive Brooks: original soundscapes and ambient music combine with large cinematic projections for a mesmerising, immersive experience.
We'll be sharing tasters on our social media before the opening. We'd love to hear your feedback.

Provide food for caterpillars and choose nectar-rich plants for butterflies and you’ll have a colourful, fluttering display in your garden for many months!

Stinging nettles, bird’s-foot-trefoil, hedge mustard, cuckooflower, nasturtium, ivy, meadow-grasses, garlic mustard and thistles are all great at attracting butterflies.

Birds are starting to pair up for the breeding season and look for a suitable place to nest! You can give them a safe place to nest and bring up their chicks this National Nestbox Week. Our top tips:

✅ Choose the right type of nestbox. T**s, sparrows and other small birds favour small entrance holes while robins and wrens prefer open-fronted boxes.

✅ Avoid placing the nestbox near bird feeders.

✅ Make sure that nestboxes are placed at least 1m above ground level.

✅ Ensure birds have a clear flight path to the nest. Remove any clutter directly in front of the entrance.

✅ Angle the entrance hole in a northerly or easterly direction away from prevailing wind and rain.

✅ Don't worry if you don't have trees in your garden, put the nestbox on the side of a shed or house wall.
