The Wild Bird Rescue Charity Shop is run by two amazing volunteers, Maureen and Karen. The rescue itself is based in Morden, Dorset and is a registered Charity, Number 1194952. The Charity Shop is located at The Courtyard Craft Centre, Lytchett Minster, Dorset BH16 6BA and is open 11am until 2pm Wednesday to Sunday. All profit goes 100% on the care and treatment of injured or sick wild birds for m

edications, bedding, food etc. The shop is NOT a drop off point for any injured birds. If you have an injured bird please message Sandy by text or whatsapp 0771 965 8751.

☀️ **OUR SUMMER CLEARANCE SALE IS STILL ON!** 🐦💚

Our little charity shop is absolutely bursting at the seams with your wonderful donations, so it’s time to clear some space and send some bargains off to new homes!

💥 EVERYTHING outside the shop area is just £1!
🛍️ Everything inside the shop is over £1, with loads more fantastic bargains waiting to be discovered.

Clothes, books, toys, homeware, gifts and plenty of those completely unnecessary things you suddenly realise you absolutely NEED. 😂

And the best bit?

Every penny of profit helps care for the sick, injured and orphaned wild birds that come through our doors. 🐦

Wild Bird Rescue Dorset is 100% volunteer run, so when you grab yourself a bargain, you're genuinely helping us keep tiny bellies full, incubators warm and poorly birds cared for. ❤️

🚫 Please don’t dump items on our bin 🚫

Our bin at The Courtyard Craft Centre isn’t a donation point and sadly our commercial waste bin costs the charity a lot of money every month to have emptied!

If you have items you’d like to donate, we genuinely appreciate your support, but please bring them during shop opening hours (Wed to Sat 11 til 2) so we can sort them properly and make sure they actually help the charity. If you can't make it during our opening times please just kindly message us x

Leaving bags, random items, or unwanted bits on or around our bin creates extra costs for us and, bluntly, it’s not fair on a small volunteer run rescue already juggling enough.

We know most people mean well. But if it’s left on a rubbish bin, outside opening hours, it often becomes illegal dumping rather than donating.

Please help us keep every penny going where it should, towards the birds 🐦

🌟 Volunteer of the Year 2026🌟

Our amazing Mum has gone and done it… officially crowned Volunteer of the Year by the local Mayor and Upton & Lytchett Town Council 👏

At 84 years young, she is still running our charity shop, working tirelessly, and giving her all every single day. No fuss, no drama, just pure dedication to helping the birds 🐦

I did have to dash off to feed babies (as always!), but there was no way I was missing her moment. I made sure I was there to see her walk up and collect her certificate and trophy… and honestly, I could not be prouder ❤️

Let’s not forget, this is the same woman who threw herself out of a plane a couple of years ago to raise funds for the rescue… because apparently running a shop was not quite enough 😅

You are so loved, so appreciated, and we would not be where we are without you.

Congratulations… you deserve every second of this recognition 🏆
