Making memories in St Anne's

🛑🛑 EVENT CANCELLED 🛑🛑

We realise that many shops are just reopening and naturally concentrating on getting their own business back on their feet.
However, with only 3 shops signing up for the trail, and needing a minimum of 16 for the trail, we are left with no alternative but to cancel the Spring Bank Holiday Making Memories Trail.
The Trails are a community event and hopefully the business community can come together in the future.

Hi Everyone, here's an update on which business/outlets are aking part in the Spring Bank trail, Who else is wanting to participate, please let us know ASAP so that we can print the sheets and get the adverts going.

🌼🌼WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE DATES FOR THE SPRING BANK HOLIDAY TRAIL!!!

🌼🌼AS THE EASTER TRAIL WAS POSTPONED DUE TO NON ESSENTIAL RETAIL BEING CLOSED, WE ARE NOW RUNNING THE TRAIL DURING THE SPRING BANK HOLIDAY.

The Making memories team are planning the next trail for the school holiday around the Spring Bank Holiday week. We understand that most local kids break up on Friday the 28th, and return Monday June 7th, and with this in mind, the trail will run from Saturday 29th, until Sunday 6th June.

With covid compliance and inclusivity for all at the forefront of our planning, the format will be same as the previously successful trails, with the item the trail seekers are looking for will be inside the shop/business window, and no entry into your premises required.

However, please feel free to welcome trail participants into your own premises with your own incentives/promotions etc, obviously observing the required covid safety measures pertinent to your premises.

Carey, based at Bonney Fabrics and Wool has kindly needle felted this trails "item", and is available at the very reasonable cost of only £5 each to cover wholesale costs.. (payable by the business wishing to be included)😊

If your business would like to participate in what have been some very popular community trails, please contact Linda at Bonney Fabrics and Wool, Amanda at the Hungry Monkey or Tracy (Rustic Living St Anne's) for more details.

We have 20 available, and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We will as ever, heavily advertise the trail, (once we know who's on board) and would encourage any participants to engage in as much self promotion as possible in order to make this another great success 👍😊

As we've had to postpone the Easter Trail, if you've done an Easter themed shop window display, (whether you are open or closed, click and collect only etc) please send in a picture of your shop window, and we'll do a gallery.

This third lockdown seems never ending, but hopefully, fingers crossed for the 12th April, St Anne's shops and customers will bounce back better than ever!!

🔴🔴EASTER TRAIL POSTPONED 🔴🔴

After careful consideration, Linda Bonney Fabrics & Wool, Carey Carey's Crafts Needle Felting and myself Tracy Rustic Living St. Annes have decided to POSTPONE the Easter Trail. With non essential retail not opening until 12th April at the earliest, this means virtually all of the shops /outlets that usually participate will remain closed throughout the Easter holidays.

Whilst some do click and collect, these are very limited hours, and the kids will miss out on the treats that the generous shopkeepers usually give out, and make it virtually impossible to give out trail sheets.

At the moment, the plan is to reschedule the trail for the May Spring Bank Holiday, when hopefully all shops, cafes etc will be open, and welcoming back families to the trail, great window displays, initiatives etc. Which in turn will be far more enjoyable for the kids and parents/carers etc.

We also plan to celebrate the 1940's weekend again, which was brilliant last year 👏👏

What we can do, is show you the shop window displays for Mothers day, and Easter, and please go and appreciate these within current restrictions, if you're passing, on your daily walk etc.

This coming year of economic recovery for St Anne's is vital for our community, so please continue to shop local if you can, and support us when we re open ❤️

A sad day for St Anne's.... It has been announced that a well loved gentleman of St Anne's has sadly passed away, yesterday. Arnold Sumner was a champion of the St Anne's business community, and a popular figure at many local cafes and shops through the town. A property owner and and businessman him...

Prize drawer from the Robin Trail❤️

Well Done everyone, and thank you to Tony Ford for kindly sponsoring the prizes and Robins.
Also, All the children who took part has super manners, and I hope Santa noticed that 🎅😉

The Robin Christmas Trail starts tomorrow!!

18 cheeky Robins are hiding in shop windows around St Anne's centre, we need you to find their names!

18 shops are participating, and you can pick up a trail sheet from

Rustic Living St Anne's. or

Bonney Fabrics and Wool

from 10.30am Saturday morning.

The trail is on until the 23rd December , but if you want to be entered into the prize draw, we need your completed trail sheet back to either shop by 4pm Sunday 20th ( so there's time to collect your prize), but Robins will be in the windows until close of business on the 23rd.

The trail is a free activity, kindly sponsored by Tony Ford, (a well known local gentleman) but if you want to contribute anything, I'm doing treat hampers for local families similar to the holiday hampers.
