National Volunteers' Week β€οΈπ€π
This week we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every single volunteer who helps make Community Comic Con CIC possible π«Ά
From our directors and committee members to the photographers, workshop leaders, cosplayers, activity volunteers, performers, podcast producers and everyone who gives up their time to help behind the scenes, Community Comic Con CIC simply could not happen without you π«΅
Last year alone, 52 amazing volunteers helped us welcome about 2,500 people to our free Community Comic Con. Whether you gave an hour, a day or countless hours throughout the year, every contribution made a difference π
Volunteering is about more than just helping at an event. It's about building confidence, making friends, learning new skills, supporting your community and creating opportunities for others π
With only around two months to go until Lytham Community Comic Con, we're always looking for more amazing people to get involved. Whether you'd like to help for a few hours or be part of the team throughout the day, we'd love to hear from you. If you're interested in volunteering, simply drop us a message π
We're also incredibly proud that Community Comic Con CIC has made the final five in the Event of the Year category at the Coastal Radio DAB Local Business Awards 2026 π
This Friday, eight of our volunteers will be attending the awards ceremony at the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool to represent our CIC and celebrate this fantastic achievement. The tickets were very expensive and we would have loved to bring even more of our volunteers along to share the moment, but we know they will all be there with us in spirit π
To be recognised as one of the top five events on the Fylde Coast is a huge achievement in itself and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion of every volunteer who has helped us along the way π
This achievement belongs to every volunteer who has helped us build something special for the community π€
Thank you for being part of our journey β€οΈ
