He joined us for our Whisky Tour and captured the whole experience including the story behind the distillery and whisky tasting at 515m above sea level.

Cocktail Club is back for a Halloween special: Spirits & Spirits

Join us this Halloween for a cosy and atmospheric evening of spooky stories, seasonal cocktails and Forest spirits at the historic Cat & Fiddle, high on the moors of the Peak District National Park.

We’re putting a Halloween twist on our Cocktail Club, combining three delicious cocktails with three short storytelling sessions inspired by the history, folklore and ghostly tales of the Cat & Fiddle and its surroundings.

Throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy a selection of seasonal cocktails, some Forest spirit samples and tasty snacks from our nibbles menu (olives, nuts, crisps, chorizo etc), with our storyteller bringing the atmosphere to life between each round with tales from the darker side of the Peak District.

The bar will remain open throughout the evening, so there’s plenty of time to relax, chat and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Cat & Fiddle.

Fancy dress widely encouraged!

Expect candlelight, autumn atmosphere, great drinks and stories of ghosts, legends, travellers and mysterious happenings from the moors.

A rather lovely weekend in the Peak District. 💚

We were delighted to see our Earl Grey Forest Gin featured by Visit Peak District & Derbyshire in their Media Centre at the Chatsworth Country Fair alongside some of the very best food and drink our region has to offer. What could be more Peak District than a line-up featuring local gin, Bakewell tarts and Bakewell puddings? 🍸🥧

It was brilliant to see Forest Gin representing the region alongside so many fantastic local producers and a great reminder of just how much incredible food, drink and experiences there are to discover right here on our doorstep.

A huge thank you to the Visit Peak District & Derbyshire team for including us, and to everyone who stopped by for a taste!

We’ve been supplying gin to for over 5 years. Each batch is made at our distillery the .forest using fresh Peak District spring water and botanicals. Last year we upgraded the miniature bottles to recycled aluminium which felt like the perfect way to take the Forest on the road.

Keep an eye out for it on your next First Class journey. 🥂

We're looking for a wonderful Weekend Weasel to join our team at The Forest Distillery, based at the historic Cat & Fiddle between Buxton and Macclesfield!
You'll help run our bar and shop, as well as host our gin and whisky distillery tours for visitors every weekend.

Hours:
Saturdays & Sundays, 11:00am–7:00pm
Occasional extra shifts or later hours available as our events programme grows

Pay:
From £13 per hour

You'll need to:
-Be a confident driver with your own car (we're on top of a hill!)
-Be happy learning and delivering our gin and whisky tour scripts
-Enjoy providing customers with a great experience in our bar and shop
-Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person if you have the right attitude and enthusiasm for what we do.
If you love people, enjoy learning something new, and fancy spending your weekends surrounded by award-winning spirits, we'd love to hear from you.

PLUS: There are also opportunities for nationwide brand ambassador work as we grow our sales team.
