I’m refilling vintage sweet and toffee tins with colourful Christmas sweets - a lovely way to reuse something old, avoid unnecessary packaging and create a little bit of festive nostalgia. 🍬❤️

There’s something rather lovely about a basket that has already lived a life… and then finds a whole new purpose 🧺

Tucked beside a chair, ready for those slower evenings, a warm drink and a good story, so this basket feels right at home 📚 with my Winter stash of books.

And judging by how quickly they’ve been disappearing from the Store, we’re not the only ones who think so too. So versatile, more baskets are heading into Lawrence Wilson & Co Vintage Homewares for our October 17th event.

Each one with its own character, patina and story, just waiting to become useful all over again for hampers, storage or shopping.

Woke up this morning and thought it was time to think about socks and put my picnic set away for another year 🤣🤭

I just love this set, completely individual, gathered over months by me, some old items, some newer items, it's been out on several occasions, but now it's time for it to rest up over Winter.

Started as an old empty picnic hamper found at a car boot sale, I've enjoyed the thrill of finding things and refilling it, in my style, over the last couple of years.

And after all, vintage is the ultimate in recycling!

We’ve had a few messages recently asking if Betty is OK, as she hasn’t appeared for a little while 🥰
Pleased to say she’s absolutely fine, thank you everyone!

She’s enjoying her usual home comforts (she loves a snuggly spot), plenty of great treats, and tripping about on days out and holidays. ❤️

1st September, new month, new start! Hi everyone!

A brand new month, so if your August was too hot and just didn't go how you planned, here's a reset and a start a new 🍂🍂

Time for me to find hyacinth bulbs for my vintage vases, then they'll flower around Christmas, brightening the darker days of Winter.

For me, September is a preparation month, before we get into really dark and colder days.

Not all vintage pieces are expensive and it's so easy to add individuality to your home. Hi everyone!

Take these little french tins I bought Simply Pale #2 yesterday, just £1 each (cheaper than most charity shops and from an independent small business, with a shop premises). Coupled with lovely hand made soy tealights from Rachel - Candles, Home Fragrance & Lifestyle, they're a great Autumn combination!

So go on, get out there and join in the fun, let's find some great finds to give our homes extra personality, not just click and collect vibes.
