Spring blooms and over wintered home grown veg
These bulbous flowers are invaluable to any garden big or small. Planting dry bulbs in the Autumn, burying them deep in ground with hope of brighter spring days and a garden full of colour. They’ll grow and bloom and multiply with each passing year.
Gardening isn’t difficult, I’m all for let’s throw it in and see what happens and it certainly brings me joy.
We’ve also been trying to grow more veg this past year and it’s time to get sowing those seeds again now. But we’re still enjoying our winter veg - broccoli kale, beetroots and chard. So have a go , make 2026 the year you plant something good to eat and something lovely to look at. Believe in tomorrow x

Here at Beechfield we offer a range of options to suit all budgets.
Whether you’re just having a really small intimate ceremony with close friends and family, or maybe something larger or… just something in between and don’t want to go over the top as they say! 🌸

Flowers really are an important part of the day and feature in most of the photos and even if it’s a very small wedding you’ll still want a pretty bouquet to carry or have some pretty flowers on the ceremony table.

We love to create individual bouquet styles and floral displays that are unique to every single bride and use the very best of our flowers we have blooming at the flower farm for your wedding.
You can choose to go totally seasonal and let us know your chosen colours and leave the rest up to us. This option is proving more and more popular and we call it the Ready to Wed package! We also offer the option of providing you with your bouquets and buttonholes along with buckets of blooms for you to use to make your own table centres etc! 🌸

Or maybe you’ve more specific ideas of what you’d like and that’s totally fine too, a more bespoke design service incorporating home grown with some imported flowers. 🌸

It’s always good to say Hello again and welcome new followers and update us all with what’s happening at Beechfield Flower Farm for another Calendar year.

I’m Alison, first and foremost the flower farmer. I’m also the florist, the floral designer, and absolutely everything in between. Anyone who runs a small business will know exactly what I mean!!

Flowers have always been part of my life and always will be. From an early age I’ve been sowing seeds and growing flowers, and I never cease to be amazed watching seeds germinate,grow and flower each season. I’ve always loved weddings and it was a natural progression to join these 2 things together.

Back in 2006 when I started my flower business , growing flowers in Northern Ireland was all about single varieties in large scale production but My idea was to ‘grow bouquets’.
Fast forward to 2026 and my vision hasn’t changed. It’s bang up to date!
Growing flowers locally and sustainably is what it’s still all about for me. We all want to be making smarter choices & being more sustainable in all walks of life, protecting our planet for the next generations.

Over the years my flower choice has been refined and carefully planned, seeking out and trialling varieties and cultivating the very best that suits our climate and my growing conditions.

To grow flowers and use them in my floral designs for weddings and gift bouquets is the best job in the world. In all weathers there is lots to be done and lots to be thankful for.

My inspiration comes from nature, celebrating each season for its individual beauty. My designs are unstructured in their design and this is very deliberate, as I want to convey the natural look, the simple, yet creative design that creation has given us in abundance. I don’t want a false, artificial structured look, I want flowers to look like they are in their natural setting.
