More florescent, reflective collars 🤩 & embroidered blankets for winners of The Corby Test day next week 😍👌

I’ve sponsored & donated for several events so far this year ( over £250 in total 💪💷) & being a really tiny, itsy business, that’s probably my lot for this year & lovely to end with sponsoring our own in house test day 👌🥰🏆

After a fraught day yesterday, when my machine refused to sew double thickness fleece for some reason & after covering every possible reason why with kindness & patience, we fell out big time 😤 but today, after a little tweak here & there, we are friends again & she was back to sewing like a dream …… temperamental machinery is not my forté 🤦‍♀️😂

Every one made is unique & a one off and just when I think I’ve covered all ideas, you keep coming up with more fabric colour combination requests & I love a challenge 💪😄

Fluorescent neon orange fleece for one and camo fleece inside for another & both looking fabulous with customers very happy 😍

I thought coat orders would ease up once spring arrived but how wrong I was ~ more coats ordered, made & delivered with more being added to the list weekly.

Made to measure, with colours of choice along with embroidery too, really does make them unique and very personal to you & your dog.

Very few dogs are a ‘usual’ size and if a final fitting isn’t possible & coats need slight alterations once received, that’s included free too 👌🪡🥰

Seeing them being used & worn is the best reward for me & makes it such a pleasure to see 🤩🐾

Thank you for continuing to let me make the coats you want & design 💝🌟

We had an interesting day yesterday, running in the 5 regions Charity Working Test - bitterly cold with monsoon proportion downpours, you’d never know it was May - no awards for Dewi & me but relieved we had no zeros or elimnating faults - I was so cold as well as nervous, my whistle commands were questionably at times & still waiting for the feeling in my hands to return 🥶😄
Being a sponsor of the event for the second year running was the reason to enter, attend & support - a very important charity that needs all the support it can get & I’m proud to help in my small way.
Embroidered blankets for all 5 region winners (+ an extra couple for raffles) and a voucher for the overall winner at the final at The Game Fair in July 🏆🌟👏
A quiet day today wrapped up, drinking hot chocolate & cuddles with Dewi having a chat about areas to improve on 😄💝

More dog coats finished a ready to be put away until winter comes back 😂 🥶and a customer loved the purple demo coat at the test day SO much she bought it … a little waist adjustment and it’s ready for its new owner 😍

(I am looking at sourcing purple fabric again but not quite found any yet …..close but not quite right and I’m not giving up - I have so many requests for it, it would be great to find a supplier again🤞👍)

I’ve also had a few requests for ‘Gift Vouchers’ and now have them thanks to Mrs C …. she designed & ordered some as a surprise & I love them 😍

Ready for this weekend too & perfect timing Mrs C as one is destined for another Spaniel test day, along with a beautiful set of embroidered blankets 💝🤩

I’m away next week on Nanna duties 👵but will be in touch with everyone who’s placed an order to finalise details when I can.

A fabulous but busy weekend including an invitation to have a stall of makes at the Bristol & West Inter Club spaniel team challenge ~ a superb event organised by Ade Stride, blessed by beautiful weather and held on a backdrop of ancient woodland ground blanketed by bluebells & wild garlic 😍 just idyllic & hosting the stall, a first for me, proved a great success with lots of sales and orders - it was a busy one & if I have any queries on orders placed, I’ll be in touch - thank you 🙏🥰
The crafty doghouse shop is now open & stocked with lots of lovely makes for anyone training at Corby HQ & just awaiting supplies of the usual gundog training essentials from Gamekeepers goods & sporting saint to fill the shelves - it’s a lovely time of year and having the shop & supplies in the barn, alongside the nesting swallows, is a lovely addition to HQ 🥰.

I saw this Harris Tweed while still being woven on the loom & found it beautiful - pink & green isn’t a common colour choice produced so not wanting to miss the opportunity, I had to have some 😍

It’s worked beautifully with the olive wax cotton in the training bag & couldn’t resist making a matching neck warmer, both with the same embroidered flying pheasant 🥰

and the gorgeous Gloria had to make an appearance to help show it off too 🧣😆🤩

Camera phone doesn’t do the colours of the tweed justice but these 2 beauties are ready for their debut at the Test Day on Sunday ( & when the cameras out - Dewis about 😆)
No description needed really as they speak for themselves - I love them both but the pink/green tweed has turned out even more stunning than I hoped it would …. I love it so much, I couldn’t help make a little extra to match 🤩
