🍺 Meet the face behind the business!

What started as a dream after countless trips to Czechia quickly became a reality. Inspired by a love of authentic Czech beer culture, Monika and Tomasz took a leap into the unknown and opened ToMo Tankovna restaurant, despite having no previous experience in the industry!

Driven by a passion for fresh Czech lager and authentic, homemade food, they set out to create something different for the local community. With the support of Budvar and plenty of determination, they’ve built a welcoming space where everything is made from scratch and customers are treated like friends.

Since opening their doors, Monika and Tomasz have become a valued part of the local business community, creating a venue that’s as much about bringing people together as it is about great food and drink.

We’re proud to spotlight the people behind ToMo Tankovna and the passion that has helped make their business a success.

PaddleFest is back at Waterside Quarter! ☀️🛶

We’re excited to celebrate the return of the canoeing and kayaking event to York Stream for a second year – join the Friends of Maidenhead Waterways on Saturday 20th June for a fun-filled morning on the water!

Free boat rides along York Stream 🛶 📍 Meet at Daisy the Alligator on the quay (next to Bombay Story) ⏰ 9:30am–12:00pm 🦺 Life jackets provided | 🎟️ No booking required

✨ Don’t miss the Canoe Cavalcade! Watch the flotilla paddle from Waterside Quarter to Green Lane Weir from 10:00am – or bring your own canoe or kayak and join in! Participants set off at 9:45am from Town Moor (Blackamoor Lane).

💦 Try it yourself! Taster canoe sessions run from 11:30am (£10 per hour, pre-booking required) – perfect if you’re keen to give it a go.

🍽️ After your paddle, stick around and soak up the sunshine with brunch or lunch at our fantastic waterside restaurants. It’s the perfect way to make a day of it while supporting local businesses.

There’s nothing better than hearing how much people are loving the businesses here at Waterside Quarter.

A huge well done to for the incredible reviews and continued support from the Maidenhead community. From first visits to weekly favourites, it’s been amazing to see so many people enjoying everything they bring to the destination.

Creating a place where people can come together, support independent businesses, and genuinely enjoy spending time was always the vision for Waterside Quarter, and seeing that community continue to grow is something we’re incredibly proud of!
