A little insight from our yachts man Ken Binks into the T6K for skippers.
Futabaβs T6K system has a myriad of features for all facets of rc sporting classes. For us yachtsman precision is always a given but the following features make racing yachts a real time dynamic link to your yacht.
1. Superb range and twin receiver aerials give a link so solid no matter if there are 5 or 25 yachts on the start line.
2. ATL winch trim ONLY adjusts the close hauled setting click by click for pointing high or sailing free.
3, NOW take this a stage further by mixing ch4 βmasterβ to ch3 βSlaveβ so when close hauled moving sail winch stick sideways moves the close hauled set point in to pinch and shoot a mark or free off for speed giving the feel of playing the main sheet on the beat.
3. Expo function on the tiller for when over control on the run in the lower suits can cost you places as your yacht broaches through over control. Switch this function in and out.
4. EPA, subtrim, ATL all allow you to setup your radio to give perfect matching port and starboard.
5. Now in 20 seconds copy the whole setup to another of the 30 model memories GO EVEN BETTER AND COPY SETUP TO A SPARE TRANSMITTER. Great when you go swimming occasionally ππ³ oh no spare Tx Then swop memories with a fellow sailor or splash out! on your own reserve T6K systemπ
