We are open again!
Most of the re-decorating is finished, and we are looking very fresh for Spring. From March we will be OPEN EVERY SATURDAY 10AM-4PM, and we have lots of great bargains in new and second-hand for all ages. New books including some hardbacks are only £2.50, and second-hand ones for only £1.
We also have our usual range of beautiful cards by local artists now only £1, as well as jigsaws, book nook kits, craft kits, posters and other little treasures all now at bargain prices.
We will be running our very popular creative writing classes on the first Saturday of every month from 2 till 4, and on the second Saturday there will be creative writing for young writers too.
Dates for the diary:
Adult Creative Writing, April 5th, 2pm till 4pm
Young Writers Creative Writing, April 12th, 2pm till 4pm.
We will also be re-starting our Friday night book-of-the-month group, beginning with the Booker-prize winner for this year, ORBITAL. Book-of-the-month meeting will be on the second Friday in April, to avoid trying to get together on Good Friday the following week, so Friday 11th April at 7.30 in the shop.
If you would like to order a copy from us you can, but sorry you will only be able to pick it up on a Saturday. Email me if you would like a copy please!
It’s lovely to be back and enjoying the sunny days surrounded by books. Sarah the tortoise has woken up from her hibernation, and is wandering about getting under our feet again very happily. See you all again soon!
