❄️ THE ENIGMA WINTER TICKET ❄️

Have you put your name down for the Winter Ticket yet? If not, here’s why you should…

Quite simply, the calibre of fish speaks for itself. Winter is a fantastic time to target these carp, with the fish typically carrying some of their heaviest weights of the year.
Our first 30lb fish has already graced the bank, so just imagine what else could be waiting for you. And with another couple of months of prime growing conditions still ahead of them, there’s every chance there are some seriously chunks waiting to be caught this winter.

Anyone who has fished the lakes in the past through the colder months will know just how prolific this lake can be. With depths between 4–8ft, it offers carp a stable and comfortable environment while still allowing sunlight to warm the water enough to encourage movement and feeding. Combine that with a healthy stock of carp, you could be looking at one seriously exciting winter campaign.

🐷 30'S CLUB 🐷

Well ladies and gentlemen the lake has done it! 6 months, two weeks and 4 days since opening our gates our first officially 30lb'er has been caught! A fish named, 'CRAIG' at 30.02lb. We will tolerate no hate towards the name😂

Huge congratulations to for banking this absolute beast at 1am this morning! What a way to start the month.

We’ve had our eye on this fish for a while and always felt it had a great chance of hitting that 30lb mark sooner rather than later, so as a fishery we’re absolutely delighted to see it happen!

We’ve set ourselves some big milestones over the next few years, and this is one we can now officially tick off. It’s also a pretty good sign that the work going on behind the scenes is paying off; the feeding plan, aeration, quality bait and keeping the biomass where we want it, all play their part.

So what’s next? We’re now looking to build a really good head of 30’s, then hopefully start seeing the first 40’s in the years to come.

Ambitious? Absolutely. But we’re in no rush. If we keep doing things properly, the fish will do the rest. These things take time and that’s half the fun!

🎣 OCTOBER AVAILABILITY 🎣

October is filling up nicely, and the weekends are now nearly fully booked. There are still a few spaces left though, so if you’ve been meaning to get a session in, now’s a good time to get booked in.

If you can’t make a weekend, we’ve also got some mid-week availability. The banks are generally quieter, with a bit more space and a nice peaceful atmosphere.

🍋‍🟩 HYDRATED LIME 🍋‍🟩

Here we are applying hydrated lime to our second lake!

This lake will eventually be home to both carp and catfish, but there’s still plenty of work to do before we get there. It’s very much a work in progress, so bear with us as we get stuck in and start bringing it all together.

We’ll be sharing plenty of updates along the way, so keep an eye out for the videos!

We apply hydrated lime to the lake bottom to help disinfect it, tackle harmful bacteria, parasites and unwanted organisms, and give us a clean slate before the lake is refilled.

Lime is very harmful stuff, so it needs to be treated with respect. Direct contact can cause nasty burns to the skin and eyes, while the dust can irritate your lungs, so proper PPE and careful handling are absolutely essential. 😷🎣

Here's something a little bit different from us. We'd like to say we've gotten to know a lot of you quite well during the time we've been open, so we thought we'd drop some behind the scenes photos we've acquired throughout our restoration process.

It's nothing too exciting, but we've got so many memories from that period of our lives, and these photos are very nostalgic for us, showing the highs and the lows of our 16 month journey!

Here’s a lovely 21lb’er caught by Andy earlier in the week, shown from every angle!
Andy finished his session with 3 fish on the bank and one lost; 16lb, 19lb and this cracking 21lb’er. He also lost what felt like a decent fish to a hook pull, but that's fishing! All fish fell victim to the Enigma Fusion range😮‍💨

Our eyes are firmly set on the weekend now, and with plenty of 20’s coming out through the week, it could be big-fish soup!

Weekends are always popular, so why not squeeze in a midweek night or two and take advantage of the lake being a little quieter? Andy is a perfect example of just how rewarding those midweek sessions can be!🎣

❄️ THE ENIGMA WINTER TICKET ❄️

This winter, Enigma Lakes is becoming a winter syndicate, running from 16th November to 1st March.

For just £299, the Winter Ticket gives you access to three rods, along with the use of maggots and worms. These rule changes will apply exclusively while the lake is operating as a winter syndicate.

We’ll also be dropping the minimum weekend stay requirement until 1st March, giving you even more flexibility to target the lake throughout the colder months.
